Fundraising keeps scouting affordable and accessible for all families. It's the primary way that programs are funded. Fundraisers are also opportunities to represent Scouting in the community. 100% of funds raised are used to support programs, facility rentals, equipment, etc. Our section scouters and group committee members are all volunteers and don't receive any compensation.
We ask that all youth and families participate in our fundraisers throughout the year. A few examples of the fundraisers we do are: Bottle drive, Apple Days, Christmas flowers and Macgregors meat.
A third of all profits from fundraisers that can be tracked to individuals (for example, Christmas flowers and Macgregors meat) accumulate in youth accounts that can be used to pay for camps, dues and other expenses throughout the year.
Bottle drive on January 3, 2026.
Please mark your calendars and meet us at the Parkette at Fisher and Parkway at 8 am.
Every 4 years our Scout and Venturer aged youth are invited to a World Jamboree (WJ). In 2027, the WJ will be in Poland. Aside from Group fundraisers that we ask all of our families to participate in, the youth going to WJ are also fundraising specifically for that event. The cost is approximately $5000 each. We will share these with you in case the sales or event interests you but there is no expectation for you to sell on their behalf.
S'mores candles: Carden Candles has partnered with us and are selling an 8 oz candle that smells like S’mores! They are $20 each and if you would like to purchase, you can contact cardencandleco@gmail.com directly. Please tell them you're with 13th Burlington Scouts.
If you have ideas for a fundraiser let us know.
