Scouts are for ages 11 to 14, boys and girls.
The 13th Burlington Scouts meet on Thursdays from 7pm-9pm at the Mountainside Community Centre at 2205 Mt Forest Dr. but we also have many off-site events and adventures. The program runs from September through June.
Scouts participate in a wide range of activities throughout the year at weekly meetings and overnight camps to foster independence, responsibility and leadership skills.
There are typically four or five overnight camps per year, including the all sections camp (together with Cubs and Beavers). Scouts plan their own camps and participate in a special Competition Camp where they work together all weekend without the involvement of scouters (they're still on site in case assistance is required) to load and carry gear, set up camp, cook and participate in activities.
