No capes required, but a sense of adventure is a must! Volunteer roles include help with specific sections (Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers) to plan and run activities, fundraising assistance, administrative, camping and more.
No experience? No problem! Just bring your enthusiasm to help us create unforgettable experiences for our awesome youth.

Scouters get to take part in a wide variety of fantastic adventures. Community involvement, crafts, hiking, cooking, camping trips, skills development, scouters' socials, day trips and special overnight trips are happening all year around!
In addition to the adventures that volunteers get to enjoy there is an even more awesome reason to join the team. How many times do you hear exclamations like these? "Today was the best day of the year!", "This was the most fun I've had all week", "My favourite part of the week is to come to our meetings!", "This was the best weekend of my life!".
It's incredibly rewarding knowing that you make a difference in the lives of young people as they tackle challenges, learn new skills, make new friends and grow into capable young adults.
Being a volunteer scouter is not an all-or-nothing commitment. You may love camping and outdoor adventures. You may be a natural planner and organizer. You might enjoy administrative tasks behind the scenes. You may be passionate about fundraising or community involvement. Have one hour a week to help or five. All of our scouters have different roles based on our skills, aptitudes and availability. Check with your section's scouters to find a role that fits or send an email to scouter Dave at scouterdoon@gmail.com.
All scouters are reimbursed in full for expenses as they get started (uniform, police check, etc.) and for ongoing expenses related to planning and running events.

You can become a parent overnight helper if you wish to help out at overnight camps but not quite ready to join as a volunteer on a regular basis.
