Cubs are for ages 8 to 10, boys and girls.
The 13th Burlington Group has two Cub Packs: Pack "A" and Pack "B". Both meet on Mondays from 7pm-830pm in the Mountainside Area.
The activity calendar for Pack "A" is available here.
As children transition from Beavers to Cubs they will have more opportunities to learn about leadership and work on more involved projects throughout the year to foster independence alongside teamwork. Parents often tell us that they sign up their children because they're looking for an extracurricular activity that isn't sports focused, non-competitive and teaches life skills in variety of indoor and outdoor settings.
Weekly meetings: Hiking, crafts, indoor and outdoor games, DIY projects, cooking, nature exploration, working with tools, emergency preparedness and other activities based on feedback from the kids.
Overnight camping: In tents or cabins 3-4 times per year, typically for two nights Friday evening until Sunday morning. Tents are provided by the group. In addition to tent camping we also organize overnight sleepovers at various venues such as the Warplane Museum, zoos and many other locations. For example in years past we've spent the night at Ripley's Aquarium and also aboard warships at the Buffalo Naval Park, went to the Royal Ontario Museum on a day trip and more!
Socializing: Meet many kids from a similar age group and occasionally meet younger and older scouts at various events.
I promise to do my best
To love and serve God
To do my duty to the King
To keep the law of the Wolf Cub Pack
And to do a good turn for someone every day
I promise to do my best,
To be true to myself,
To do my duty to my country;
To keep the law of the Wolf Cub Pack,
And to do a good turn for somebody every day.
The Pack will discuss at the beginning of the year which version of the promise we'll use throughout the year.
A Cub respects himself or herself and the Cub respects the old wolf
Do your best!

Runners, Trackers & Howlers are first, second and third year Cubs, respectively.
Seeonee Award🎖 The Top Section Award for Cub Scouts, recognizing leadership, skill mastery, and personal growth. Howlers are eligible for this award near the end of their third year.
Kub Kar Fun Day or KKFD is an annual event where Cubs from the region race their Kub Kars to compete for various trophies.
Throughout a couple of weeks Cubs design and build cars. It all starts with a block of pine wood that they shape using a variety of tools into a car of their choice. During this process they learn–under careful adult supervision—to use a variety of tools such as:
Hand and power sanders
Belt saw and hand saw
Hammers
Chisels
After the design is completed they decorate the cars with accessories and paint.
At the race there are awards for the fastest car as well as design awards for themes such as food, movies, F1 and more.
